Under exceptional circumstances, he will represent clients in distant courts throughout Illinois. He also travels to United States District Courts for federal cases throughout the Midwest.


Lewis Gainor has successfully defended clients in criminal trials and hearings before judges in Boone, Cook, DuPage, Lake, and Will County during his career.


Not GuiltyLewis Gainor has individually taken more than 40 criminal and DUI cases to verdict in front of juries, and achieved more than 25 not guilty jury verdicts. He has tried countless other bench trials and evidentiary hearings.

Lewis Gainor is best known for his front-page victory in Lake County over Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan and the Environmental Protection Agency concerning an illegal dump.


Attorney Lewis Gainor was also recently featured in the press for defending an Iraq war veteran who was tasered by the police. Officers had falsely accused him of battery and resisting or obstructing a peace officer to cover up the fact that he was the victim of police brutality.
